:: Triple column nuanced floral top views and pomegranate stylized minor medallions in a partial Veramin design motif. Wrapped by main border in sharp serrated leaves, minor germinating trefoil plants, and floral blossoms throughout. Phenomenal nuanced carpet with artistic merit found throughout in an early example not intended for export markets in the last quarter of the 19th century. All shades in gem tones of red and blue and earthen shades are all quite vivid and naturally derived. Colors and shades include: Brick red, cherry red, charcoal, chocolate brown, dusty rose pink, sapphire blue, ruby red, pale saffron yellow, burgundy wine red, copper, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Some coarse hand overwrapped selvages. Several localized areas, approximately three by five inches to five by five inches of possible touch-ups and markering, mostly found within the dark border field, otherwise etched from mordants and dyes over time. Minor contouring consistent with rugs this type and age that are woven on a wooden loom with some areas of the width 3'7" compared to cited 3'10" within normal margins. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Kurdish Bijar rug made in Persia circa 1890's vintage. Size measures 3'10" x 5'3".
