This rug was handwoven by Mina.
Mina is part of a women-only association located in Anzal, she’s the mother of four children, two girls and two boys. In addition to running the household and raising her children she tries to spend a few hours everyday weaving.
This rug utilizes 100% live wool which Mina dyed by hand using natural spices, herbs and plants to create the multitude of colors.
Mina's designs represents thousands of years of artistic tradition. The middle symbol represents a lion paw, a symbol of strength and protection in the Amazigh culture.
